ENOTECA VERGARO
- DAL 1967 -
WINES FROM ITALY AND AROUND THE WORLD ONLINE, SELECTED WITH EXPERTISE SINCE 1967
Buying wine online today is simple. Choosing it well, much less so. Enoteca Vergaro was founded in 1967 in Galatina, in the heart of Salento, as a place dedicated to the culture of fine drinking, thoughtful selection, and direct relationships with producers. Today, that same philosophy continues online, through an e-commerce designed for those seeking authentic Italian and international wines, carefully selected and presented with expertise. Alongside its wine selection, the enoteca also offers spirits, champagne, and craft beers, completing its range with products chosen according to the same standards of quality.
A HISTORIC WINE SHOP, NOW ALSO ONLINE

Founded over fifty years ago, Enoteca Vergaro has grown alongside the culture of wine in Italy. From its first shelves of carefully selected bottles to becoming a trusted point of reference in Salento for enthusiasts, restaurateurs, and curious newcomers, the enoteca has always followed one clear direction: quality over quantity.
The e-commerce is the natural evolution of this journey. Not to follow the market, but to make a selection built over decades of experience accessible nationwide.

ITALIAN WINES: A HERITAGE OF TERRITORIES AND IDENTITIES
Italy is one of the most complex and fascinating wine-producing countries in the world. For this reason, Enoteca Vergaro’s selection spans regions, grape varieties, and diverse traditions, highlighting both renowned appellations and lesser-known yet distinctive producers. Each wine tells a different story, yet they all share one common element: the ability to express the territory from which they originate.
WHITE, RED, ROSÉ AND SPARKLING WINES
A THOUGHTFUL SELECTION
Elegant, intense, terroir-driven reds. From the great Italian classics to more contemporary expressions, always with a focus on structure, drinkability, and authenticity.
From fresh, mineral whites to more structured and complex expressions, also suited for aging, the selection emphasizes balance, precision, and stylistic clarity.
Rosé wines hold a special place, particularly those from Southern Italy and Salento, capable of combining freshness, character, and gastronomic versatility.
Traditional method, Charmat method, and Champagne selected for finesse, balance, and producer identity, not for passing trends.
- WINES BY REGION -
Choosing by Territory

One of the keys to understanding wine is to start from its origin. For this reason, the e-commerce is also organized by Italian regions, allowing you to explore styles, grape varieties, and local traditions in a clear and in-depth way.
From Puglia to Piedmont, from Tuscany to Sicily, each territory is represented through a coherent and carefully selected range.
FROM SALENTO TO ITALY
A selection born in Galatina.

The enoteca is based in Galatina, in the heart of Salento, a region that in recent decades has come to offer wines of strong character and growing quality. This connection to its place of origin is not a limitation, but a starting point: the experience gained locally guides a selection that looks to the entire national wine landscape, always maintaining a direct and human approach.

This site was created to bring online the same approach that has defined the enoteca for over half a century: expertise, respect for the product, and care to those who purchase.

THE RIGHT DRESS
OUR
LOCATION
Enoteca Vergaro is located in Galatina, in Puglia, an old town in the Salento hinterland about 20 kilometers from the city of Lecce and around 30 from Otranto and Gallipoli.
